South African Business Permits for non South Africans


So you have made the decision to either open or buy a business in South Africa and immigrate here through a South African Business Permit. Good choice! The South African Government is opening its arms to foreign investment under the conditions that local South Africans will benefit from the venture.

The conditions for a South African Business Permit are as follows:

1) Employ 5 South Africans

2) Invest R2.5m ( capitalisation can be reduced to R100 000 if needs be and we will facilitate this process for you)

Once your South African Business Permit is approved (this takes aproximately 40 days ) you are elligible to apply for Permanent Residence which will take 16 months (there is a backlog) to process. Your South African business visa will then act as a bridging visa for your Permanent Res. Under the business permit category, you will also be able to bring over your family and they too will also be able to apply for Permanent Residence.

The cost for the entire process is R12 000 and excludes government fees of R1 520. There will also be a surcharge of R3 000 per family member you bring over. All these prices are VAT inclusive.
